Job Responsibilities
- Follows special cleaning procedures as assigned and necessary, including discharge cleaning and isolation cleaning.
- Assist with cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
- Prepares and launders soiled linen and clothing; folds and distributes clean linens.
- Offers residents choices / options for times to have room cleaned; respects and reports residents' refusals.
- Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use and equipment.
- Responds appropriately to emergency needs in the location.
- Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques, including those that apply to blood borne pathogens.
Qualifications
- Basic ability to communicate and comprehend.
