The Test Quality Technician is responsible for execution of testing and documentation activities associated with new product development and ongoing product change control support as it pertains to verification, validation, and inspection of instrumentation and software products. A primary focus for this position is generating and maintaining test procedures, translating test procedures into production or quality assurance procedures and recording, and analysing result data to generate compliance claims to requirements.

Test responsibilities will focus on system and integration verification and validation testing with emphasis on end to end complete system testing. Documentation responsibilities include records of creation of test procedures, creation of quality inspections, reviews of Factory and Site Acceptance procedures, creation of production travelers and support in the creation of assembly instructions. A final responsibility of this role will be to train production and service staff in the execution of prepared quality inspection and assembly instruction methods as needed.

Essential Functions:

Test Technician - Specific ( Depending On Previous Skills )

Instrument Systems Testing: Support Instrumentation Testing and Design Verification through the execution of physical measurements using special test equipment and instruments. Responsible for definition and documentation of methods and processes including but not limited to GD&T dimensional measurement practices, temperature measurements, airflow measurements, fluid flow/volume measurements, electrical signal measurements, gantry and consumable motion measurements, and statistical analysis data.

Test Procedure Documentation: Work in collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and production to support the creation of effective component, subsystem, and system inspection procedures for products as they transition from design verification to release for production. This is accomplished through the conversion of verification and validation procedures into appropriate quality and receiving inspections and factory or site acceptance tests. These tests and inspections can be utilized in the production build and inspection processes, as well as site acceptance testing at customer locations.

Creation and Delivery of Training: Organize, create and deliver training for tests and inspections that have been converted into production or site inspection for the production and service teams. Including creating training presentations, delivering training sessions and documenting the training session attendees list so that training can be documented.

Analytical Chemistry(Optional): Support System Testing and verification activities through the generation and execution of test procedures and inspections. Special focus in this role will be to support system verification through the execution of analytical chemistry testing using good laboratory practices and proper material handling techniques. Documenting test configurations such as input material batch lots and instrument settings are critical in this role.
