Genesis10 is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager with Utility/Grid Management experience for a 12 month role- location can be either MN or CO. (Currently Remote)
Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects. Oversees project budgets and schedules. Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope. Minimizes project risk. Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures.
Position Summary: The Sr. Project Manager is accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of the PSCO Community Resilience Project. This project supports Client commitment to bolstering the resilience of a stable and secure power supply by deploying microgrid/battery storage devices in select locations on our Colorado Distribution grid.
The project will develop integrations for monitoring and control of these battery installations and support collection and validation of performance and economic metrics on the use of these installations. The Sr. PM is responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors and vendors at distributed work locations, mitigating issues and risks, and completing the project on time and on budget. The Sr. PM is responsible for forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and explaining variances.
Summary of Responsibilities: Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones, accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates. Manages, prepares and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. Creates and manages project financials including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking and variance explanations. Identifies risks and issues and provides effective mitigation. Monitors project activities and resolves/escalates issues as needed.
Skill Set Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of project management experience, with management of a $3M project budget or greater.
Proven experience managing software upgrade or enterprise software implementation projects.
Proven experience managing requirements specification, design activities, prototype development, testing and final deployment.
Proven vendor management experience including leading RFP's, SOW creation, financial control, and aggressively driving vendor to meet date and budget commitments.
Experience managing project budget forecasts, actuals and accrual-based accounting.
Utility and Electric Distribution, Outage Management, or Distribution Grid Management systems experience preferred.
