Maintenance Group Leader, Food Manufacturing

Responsible for performing technical and supervisory activities including troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining of production and facility equipment pursuant to safety and processes to support shift production operations.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform highly diversified duties to maintain production equipment by assigning/ dispatching other maintenance shift personnel to conduct maintenance according to their skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Proficiency in ability to use (and instruct shift mechanics) in using variety of hand and power tools
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those unusual situations facility Maintenance Manager
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

What you'll need: Education, Experience & Required Skills High school diploma or GED and vocational education (electrical or mechanical) or at least 10 years experience in "hands on" maintenance of machinery in production operations Work Environment & Physical Demands Physical working area is multi-shift, high speed packaging operations which may be noisy and very warm (or very cold). Must be able to access any area in and around facility including may need to ascend/descend stairways, narrow passageways and layout of expansive operations to access production equipment which may be level in the building. This position will require lots of walking on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
