Security Analyst/Project - Staff Augmentation Event

Description:Mode of Interview:???The Client will conduct interviews. The Client reserves the right to remove a resource from consideration if the resource is unavailable for interview as requested by the Client.???In person interviews are preferred, due to continuing issues with Covid 19, interviews are likely to be conducted by phone or Skype.Sample Tasks???Provide guidance to security team to implement MNIT security program???Provide expert leadership and consulting to security staff on logical and physical security systems at DPS???Work with DPS security staff to monitor current systems and continuously evaluate needs???Ensure data protections are in place for all DPS applications???Recommend options for mitigating any identified weaknesses or needs???Provide subject matter expertise to security staff???Provide documentation of work done, recommendations, implementations, etc.???Provide knowledge transfer to security team ???Work with MNIT and DPS to implement the Intune Mobile Device Management solution???Assist with building systems in DPS owned applications to monitor for security related events???Assist with training of LASO's at DPS / ensure all facilities meet CJIS compliance???Perform analysis/create a roadmap on current operations to determine if CJIS standards can be applied across all of DPS???Build the processes/procedures for a consistent and secure AWS deployment???Perform audits on DPS systems and infrastructures???Conduct ongoing security assessments for critical assets???Conduct a security assessment for the deputy registrars to ensure their processes of processing and maintaining DVS data is consistent with DPS policies and procedures???Conduct security assessment of MNLARS, Permitting, E-support, and FAST and assist with implementation of additional security measures to secure those applications???Assist staff to evaluate and update the agency's Disaster recovery process???Physical security assessment of all DPS locations???Assist staff with building processes and procedures relating to security during the migration of assets to the AWS environments???Build processes and procedures to identify and mitigate environmental or logical threats???Build processes and procedures to ensure vulnerabilities are not in applications released into the DPS or external environments???Build processes and procedures to ensure network security???Build processes and procedures that will ensure that proper Identity access management procedures are being followed???Ensure PCI compliance for the DPS credit card environment???Ensure data protections are in place with all DPS applications???Work with MNIT to ensure that all tools are being utilized for logical security and configured to meet DPS, FBI and BCA requirements???Conduct a security assessment for all forms of data maintained by DPS entities and assist with the implementation of additional security measures to secure dataMinimum Qualifications???Ten (10) years of experience as a security analyst???Two (2) years of experience in a lead security role for a governmental entityDesired Skills???Broad and deep experience with security systems, particularly in a government setting???Deep knowledge of security tools, industry standards and best practices???Excellent problem solving skills???Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail???Demonstrable leadership ability ???Excellent oral and written communication skills???Experience with CJIS requirements in government???Experience supporting law enforcement and emergency management technology systems???Support resources within company that assigned resource can work with if neededPART TIME JOB - 20 HOURS PER WEEK
