Job Description
An Industrial Engineer Intern is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Identify areas of manufacturing process improvements
- Develop proposals for changes in the manufacturing process which includes cost analysis and justifications
- Assist in developing proposals to management
- Evaluate new technology and recommend equipment that will improve manufacturing processes and/or reduce costs
- Work with the Production Managers to establish layout drawings for the most efficient manufacturing processes
- Be familiar with shop capabilities and communicate to engineering so we are designing our equipment in a manner that can be most efficiently manufactured
- Frequent time studies as needed
- Assisting the Quality Department as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related study
