The CX Specialist is responsible for designing new and updated user experiences, creating concepts, visual mockups, and specifications for the Digi-Key website and applications, while also coordinating direct communication with customers regarding feedback, questions, concerns, and reported site issues. This position applies strategic thinking and business goals to designs, focusing on user feedback, and understanding the relation of visual design to the interaction.


Must be able to...
  • Understand and follow brand standards
  • Perform competitive research
  • Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, user interfaces, and comp designs
  • Design layouts and templates for maximum usability and focus on user experience
  • Perform usability tests on interface designs to ensure cross-browser compatibility
  • Work with web developers to apply style and user interface design to web applications
  • Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create strategic design recommendations
  • Create design solutions that address business, brand and user requirements
  • Create mock-ups, wireframes, and visualizations as needed to communicate design ideas
  • Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, technical constraints, and business decisions
  • Establish and maintain UI consistency across the Digi-Key website
  • Identify user impacts when a system change or enhancement is proposed
  • Perform user and competitive research
  • Research interaction design trends and corresponding technology trends
  • Ability to create usability test plans and run large and small scale tests
  • Turn usability findings into actionable recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with customers, IT, and Product Owners across various platforms

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Typically, 1-2+ years of experience working in Marketing or in customer/supplier facing related role
  • Demonstrated ability to present to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated capability to plan and organize resources, workload effectively to deliver results
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as but not limited to a keyboard, mouse, and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Must be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, communication, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, marketing capacity, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, professionalism, problem-solving/analysis, project management, thoroughness, and time management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Base understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key and the industry Digi-Key operates in
  • Base knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
