Job Responsibilities

Completes special projects as assigned. Schedules meetings and other events; tracks and orders needed supplies. Properly directs mail and phone messages. Develops a marketing plan incorporating the most effective forms of media under determined time frames and budgets. Recognizes opportunities for new services. Speaks occasionally at community events and service clubs regarding the Center's services, mission, and needs; plans and conducts events to involve community in the Center's mission; produces and mails written materials including newsletters and mail appeals. Implements news media contacts regarding Center services, events, activities and noteworthy people. Demonstrates/encourages quality care for the whole individual. Formulates and works within annual budget. Acquires resources and means that promote a quality work environment. Assists and participates in the QA / CQI process ensuring quality performance, conformance with regulations, standards and laws, and customer satisfaction. Accepts accountability for activities under direct control. Plans and organizes work with and for department; exercises sound judgment and decision-making. Promotes cooperative working relationships within and between departments. Keeps abreast of and implements new programs or practices Maintains accounts payable system and related files. Maintains checking account. Reconciles and completes reports related to accounts payable. Enters, edits and posts all accounts receivable information to the accounts receivable system. Maintains accounts receivable system; files and retains all accounts receivable records. Reconciles and submits reports related to accounts receivable accounts. Analyzes, reviews, and bills accounts accurately. Assures all accounts are properly maintained; assures current rate structures are implemented in the system. Assures all cash and investments properly balance. Reconciles and reports required accounts. Assures all financial system updates are installed and the system is backed up; maintains all financial and related resident files as outlined in policy and procedure; keeps all business office manuals updated and office machines functioning properly. Records and maintains records of meetings/ transactions. Observes and reports residents' conditions to appropriate staff. Documents all accounts payable transactions. Documents all accounts receivable transactions. Responds appropriately to residents' requests for help including information related to accounts receivable.

Qualifications

Degree in accounting or business management preferred. Prefer two years commensurate experience.

Basic typing skills, data entry, filing, book keeping, use of basic computer programs, and telephone skills. Ability and willingness to speak in front of small groups of people; ability and willingness to engage in one-on-one conversations with residents and prospective residents on a regular basis; ability and willingness to manager multiple projects at the same time.

Above average written and oral communication skills; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities and work with percentages, decimals and dollar figures.
