Job Responsibilities

As a Good Samaritan Society Administrator, you play a crucial role in leading teams and setting expectations for quality resident care each day. You have excellent communication skills, are a great leader, and are able to manage multiple resident and employee responsibilities simultaneously.

The Administrator at GSS - Socorro, NM, will oversee a 65-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. The Administrator will report to a Regional Vice President.

What you'll do For residents, you'll promote a positive, faith-based living experience by maintaining high standards for everything from admissions to environmental services to resident care. In your role you should be comfortable addressing emotional, physical and mental needs. For employees, you will oversee hiring, training, staff retention and leadership meetings. You should be comfortable fostering company culture, and delivering quality care outcomes in a similar setting.

You should have strong leadership skills, and be comfortable working closely with families, community partners and company leadership. You will have financial responsibility for your location, and lead legal, communication and operations objectives. As an administrator, you'll have great support from our nationwide team of skilled care and senior care subject matter experts.Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

-The ability to be a licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice is required.

-A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, preferably in healthcare administration, including course work in business and human resources.

-Must be an active member of a Christian church.

-Location will determine experience required.

-Must be able to speak and write English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly.

-Financial understanding, general understanding of reimbursement and business application of Microsoft Office programs.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with conflict and embrace diversity in the workplace.

-Understanding of state and federal regulations and/or statutes. Able to analyze and interpret general business applications, legal documents, professional journals and technical procedures.
