Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for nursing duties such as assigned collaboration and monitoring of resident health and wellness, in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards and procedures.

Participates with supervising RN and/or appropriate healthcare provider in the development and modification of the resident service plan. Involved in the overall management of medications according to physician's orders. Monitors, collects and documents health status of residents. Uses clinical judgment and knowledge when monitoring and providing care. Applies and implements appropriate interventions when delegated or assigned by RN or other appropriate healthcare provider. Works under the direction of the supervising RN, preforms tasks as delegated. Reports changes to RN supervisor or appropriate healthcare provider for direction and consultation. Communicates with physicians, family members, and other staff. Monitors and documents resident care by reporting, receiving, and sharing information. Assists with supply needs and participates in quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure for state of practice is required. Prior work experience in like or related position may be helpful.

Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic nursing skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.

Must be able to speak read and write in English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly.
