If you like to have fun while you work, build confidence and grow your career, youll fit right in.The Director of Operational Design is responsible for creating new operational designs for emergent Health businesses that are unable to leverage existing processes, systems and functionality within the current Best Buy Health ecosystem. Operational Design starts with reviewing strategies from Commercial/Consumer Health Business Owners and doing assessments of the opportunity, considerations and risks. They will outline how the opportunity fits within Best Buy existing capabilities, where the gaps exist, what external capabilities/partnerships would be necessary to implement the business. When the initiative is approved the team is responsible for co-creating with 10-15+ cross functional teams on the operational models and facilitating the build. Upon completion they will partner with Capability, Implementation and Sales team to maintain the business ongoing.What will you do?Lead Operational Design team responsible for creating new operational designs for Best Buy Health. Partner with 10-15+ Cross Functional partners from across Best Buy to understand the impact, co-create and implement the initiative within their functional area. Leads efforts to attract high-quality and diverse talent; identifies and develops talent to meet future needs of the capability.Acts as a mentor to others as needed. Regularly helps connect others to mentors; recommends important internal and external contacts. Provides clear direction, feedback, development and recognition to direct reports, indirect reports and menteesCreates and manages area or multiple area assignments based on strengths (talent themes + skills + knowledge), team dynamics and business needs.Establishes and develops relationships with external vendors as requiredLeads and executes large-sized, complex projects or growth opportunities end-to-end. Oversees the creation of strategic operational plans to implement the business strategy. Ensures required inputs, outputs and interdependencies are considered across Best Buy Health, Best Buy, Employees, Customer and External Partners. Translate Business Needs to Capabilities (employee, customer, corporate & business experiences)Helps to secure and manage stakeholder awareness and buy-inProactively anticipates and manages issue resolution. Proposes solutions when issues are beyond the typical scope of their job.Determine team structure, including resource allocation, to manage projects. Drive project outcomes while maintaining Time, Scope, Resources, & Quality.Provide day to day supervision and work direction of Best Buy Health Initiatives Provide project/status reporting to appropriate Stakeholders and internal Best Buy project governance.Basic Requirements (You must meet or exceed all basic requirements to be eligible)8 or more years Operations, Consulting, Program management 5 or more years of direct people or resource leadership and/or management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence without authorityStrong Assessment capabilities to synthesize points of view and prioritize focus areas (e.g. KPI development, risk assessment, etc.) Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, facilitation)
