As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling out to client sites both international (Mexico, Canada and Europe) and domestic. They will schedule their own trips to customer sites to test the packaging equipment to confirm it works/running properly. If there are problems with the equipment, the tech will troubleshoot the equipment and be expected to perform any maintenance to get the machine running. These machines are automated equipment (Packaging equipment) running with PLCs so the Field Tech must know how to operate PLCs as well as use hand tools for the maintenance portion. The PLC's they use are Sieman's and Beckoff.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Field Service Technician experience,
Minimum 1 year of working alongside PLC's, Must have clearance to Canada
First 30 days: Will travel with another Field Service Tech domestic only (no international at first). Will be expected to learn the company equipment and balance the traveling schedule before they can go on their own. Travel will be within IL and WI.
After 30 days: Will begin international travel to Belgium for PLC training. Will be expected to fully speak to the equipment and know how to troubleshoot on their own. There will be a 4-6 week training period in Belgium where the employee will receive full training and get trained. This is where corporate is.
Position is 75% travel both international and domestic (Mexico, Canada and Europe)
Working 5-8 weekends a year
When you work on a Saturday and travel Sunday. They received $150 a day for Saturday and $100 for Sunday on top of base pay.
$55 a day for food, tobacco, entertainment.
