Create regulatory disclosure documents and review investment and servicing contracts ??? Research securities laws and disclosure practices amongst large investment fund families??? Manage specialty projects based on the Investment Company Act of 1940 ??? Build collaborative relationships with other U.S. Bank employees ??? Perform other related duties as requestedQualifications:Basic qualifications??? Pursuing a Juris Doctor degreePreferred qualifications ??? Pursuing a Juris Doctor degree with specific interest in securities law, business ethics and compliance, organizational effectiveness, or related discipline ??? Experience in an investment services organization (e.g., an investment adviser, broker-dealer, or bank) preferred ??? General understanding of mutual funds and securities law??? Ability to apply legal knowledge to business cases while actively collaborating with team members??? Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing ??? Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting ??? Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills??? Flexibility to work within a multi-discipline team and receive dynamic on-the-job training??? Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneouslyThe internship position for which you're applying may be placed under U.S. Bank's subsidiary, Elavon.
