Sr. Desktop UI/UX Developer

We are seeking an experienced UXUI Developer to work on a 3rd party desktop application. This person will be an integral part of the application updateoverhaul. this will start as a 12-18 month contract with the potential to hire. UIUX Developer 12-18 months with the potential to hire Bloomington MN Our client is a software development company who is seeking an experienced UX Designer to enhance the user interface of a variety of Windows-based desktop plug-ins. The ideal candidate will welcome the opportunity to craft a unified branding and user experience for these desktop applications which are developed in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). Responsibilities Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets Build page navigation buttons and search fields Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate the application function and look Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables) Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, DPI scaling) Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images Work within the WPF UI framework. Requirements Proven work experience as a UIUX Designer or similar role Must be able to demonstrate a modern portfolio of design projects Demonstrated experience designing windows-based desktop applications Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Balsamiq, Wireframe.cc and InVision) Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Experience designing WPF application is strongly preferred .Net based development experience with C is nice to have Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders Good time-management skills BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field
