Description Summary:The Benefits Specialist role is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long- term disability, and 401(k) plan. Additional responsibilities include leave of absence administration, Benefits Committee, and Wellbeing Committee initiatives, answering employee questions, paying and reconciling benefit invoices, vendor integrations, supporting Open Enrollment and other areas related to benefits and leave administration. This role will also be responsible for supporting our payroll function by entering some benefit information into our payroll system and act as backup payroll support.Job Description:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1) Provides administrative support to our Benefits function:LEAVES ADMINISTRATION: tracking and managing leave of absence requests (FMLA, Personal Leaves, Military Leaves, etc.), informing managers/HRMs of status of employees on leave, process Short Term Disability forms, and respond to employee and vendor emails.BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION: assist with research and creating presentations for Benefits, Retirement Investment, Rewards and Recognition and Wellbeing Committee meetings, benefit reconciliations, responding to benefit vendors, vendor integration and troubleshooting discrepancies, invoice payments, employee and benefit coverage verifications, employee questions, and annual Open Enrollment. Also, meet with new hires to facilitate benefits orientation.2) Supports payroll function by inputting data/making changes in our ADP system. Act as payroll processing backup support.3) Filing and copying files. And other HR support as needed.4) Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree and/or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field, preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.Three or more years' experience with Benefits Administration.Some payroll processing experience is preferred, but not required.Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.Experience using Workday and ADP is preferred. Technical proficiency and ability to understand HRIS and Payroll systems is required.Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.Location:Apple ValleyTime Type:Full time
