Primary Responsibilities

Utilize established project management methodology including Project Life Cycle (PLC) and Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Manage cross-functional project teams to deliver complex projects that are diverse in scope and broad in nature by utilizing knowledge and expertise to apply independent judgment in complex situations
Lead cross-functional teams across business units and geographic locations
Gather business and IT estimates and ensure they are developed using sound principles and judgment
Perform analysis to identify innovative utilization of existing resources and potential solutions that facilitate decision-making to resolve issues preventing successful execution
Manage project budgets and resources by ensuring costs are in alignment with approved limits, documenting and reporting variances, forecasting and securing resources and collaborating with resource managers
Identify and mitigate risks by creating risk management plans, managing interdependencies with other organizational projects, investigating problems and performing in-depth analysis to ensure project delivery
Provide guidance and advice to other Project Managers, business managers and key stakeholders
Participate in Project Management Practice process improvement initiatives
Facilitate assessment of technical system requirements, designs and specifications to execute a project
Work with the service design and delivery teams on improving the information technology (IT) infrastructure of the organization through contributions to the infrastructure specific SDLC
Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure, including maintenance and support, including hardware, software, build of materials (BOM) and statements of work (SOW) from vendors
Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value can do people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Required Education

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Manage moderately complex projects concurrently and effectively
Identify and gather resources and ensure future resource availability
Effectively and efficiently present logic, reasoning, and analysis to others
Appropriately prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely goal achievement
Understand the outcome of a project and analyze the results and their implications
Anticipate obstacles and challenges, identify root cause and strategize plans to address
Adapt and be flexible in complex, changing environment
Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner
Build relationships with senior managers to accomplish a common goal
High attention to detail

Preferred Experience

Experience in project management

Increasing levels of responsibility
Experience delivering technical infrastructure solutions from concept, selection, installation, testing and implementation

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Preferred Knowledge

Knowledge of enterprise data center structure, components and systems
Functional understanding of local and wide area network components, database infrastructure, availability architectures and strategies
Applied knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and best practices
Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
Policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the business and organization
