This full time, permanent, Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer opportunity will allow you to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. In addition, you will also Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.

Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
  • Work with manufacturing and maintenance to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of cost, efficiency/performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implementation and long-term execution of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
  • Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes.
  • Implement Standardized Work and develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by team members.
  • Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.
  • Assist in management of capital projects.
  • Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirements.
  • Provide expertise and apply areas of Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Quality Improvement Methods, and other appropriate methods to help identify and solve operational issues.
  • Utilize six sigma tools and root cause analysis techniques that will lead to reduced downtime, increased production, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned and provide backup assistance to other departments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher education in an engineering or operations discipline. Minimum of 2-4 years related experience in manufacturing or assembly processes. Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting, or maintaining complex production machinery is desirable. Knowledge of computer or PLC based machine control systems is desirable. CAD experience (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) is desirable. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification; Significant use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and NAV with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, emails, SOP's, regulations, and other materials required. Ability to write legible correspondence. Ability to effectively present information verbally to other employees of the organization. Must effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply applying statistical and other complex mathematic concepts when needed.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to listen, with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
