The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As the Cloud Migration IT Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. The Cloud Migration IT Specialist will provide leadership, support and have responsibility for cloud migration activities in support of 3M's Cloud Transformation Program, as we migrate 3M's enterprise compute to the AWS public cloud.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Working with the 3M Cloud Program team and global application stakeholders to complete and manage application and system discovery and dependency information in support of migration planning, scheduling and delivery
Learning and applying AWS cloud practitioner knowledge and use of 3M supported cloud tools
Providing leadership in activities which will include requirements and data gathering, QA deliverables, process mapping and Agile Scrum deliverables
Working as a core team member of the Cloud Migration workstream and leading activities/extended teams through migrations
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum seven (7) years of IT professional experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
Minimum three (3) years of IT professional experience working on large enterprise projects or cloud programs in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Excellent leadership and communication skills are necessary to engage with stakeholders, governance, and cross functional teams.
SCRUM PO/SM, Project Management (PMP) Certification or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Experience creating BA documentation such as user stories, test cases, business process mapping and job aids
Experience with cloud technologies, support of Enterprise Application portfolios and infrastructure technologies, including DevOps experience
AWS Practitioner certification or above
