As an Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Providing engineering leadership to the Aberdeen manufacturing plant - establishing a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs
Utilizing technical project management skills to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications, project requirements, project cost, and reporting implementation status to stakeholders
Monitoring ongoing product factory cost and initiating continuous improvement projects
Leading and participating in multiple Lean Six Sigma projects focused on product and quality system improvements
Supporting site and focus factory resources with process improvements and enhanced capabilities
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in an Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of experience in a private, public, government or military environment in one or more of the following areas: manufacturing engineer, process engineer, project engineer, and/or quality engineer
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
Five (5) or more years of Technical Project Management experience in a manufacturing plant environment
Experience in process improvement, product development, scaleup, and launch
Project Engineering experience in equipment development, qualification, and improvement
Experience with automated converting and packaging equipment
Experience using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma problem solving methodology
Travel: May include up to 10%
