Job Summary

The Senior Talent and Leadership Development Consultant supports the innovation, development and implementation of talent strategies that drive meaningful employee experiences, build an inspiring and magnetic culture, develop employees and leaders to their fullest potential and strengthen the talent pipeline. May serve as project or agile work team chair providing leadership for talent solution initiatives as assigned.
The Senior Talent and Leadership Development Consultant is focused on creating “experiences that matter” through programs and processes that make key talent experiences impactful, measurable and personal. This role provides advanced knowledge in designing, building and managing leading-edge and technology-enabled talent and leadership development practices and programs to create an exceptional employee experience and advance leadership capability with value-driven, measurable outcomes for the organization.
Additionally, this role works collaboratively with regional Organizational and Talent Effectiveness Consultants, HR Strategic Partners, COEs and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate talent solutions across the enterprise. Using advanced knowledge, expertise and applied experiences, develops and implements innovative and technology-enabled talent and leadership development programs and processes to drive business growth through talent, culture and performance.
Provides thought leadership and best-practice experience to design, innovate and facilitate talent and leadership development programs and experiences end-to-end. Uses a blended learning approach such as on-demand/situational learning, social learning, structured programs, mentorships, coaching and experiential learning. Facilitates learning solutions through a variety of modalities (e.g. virtual, in-person and/or social learning settings). Serves as a role model for excellent facilitation and develops those capabilities in others.
Designates responsibility of training needs, policies, strategies, processes and plans for communicating to diverse groups in a clear and professional manner. Translates a comprehensive, in-depth or broad knowledge of talent and leader development into practical training solutions and consulting.
Through succession planning, implements structured processes to identify future leaders at all levels to develop them early in their careers. Designs, implements and continually advances leadership development programs to realize tangible, measurable results that strengthen Sanford's leadership pipeline from front-line to c-suite executives.
In partnership with Organizational and Talent Effectiveness Consultants, HR Strategic Partners and COEs, uses workforce planning to identify critical talent segmentations and skill gaps. Leads the building of systemic processes that enhance Sanford's capability to identify an internal talent pipeline, as well as retain top talent through additional development opportunities and programs.
Develops programs that cultivate a "learning organization," where employees are developed to their maximum potential in alignment with their passions and talents. Creates modern talent planning approaches and meaningful solutions that enable scale and strengthen organizational adaptability and agility.
Leads the development, implementation and continuously enhancement of a meaningful, purpose-centric performance management process that is continuous and collaborative to motivate career development and fuel performance.
Designs and implements proactive communication and change management plans to ensure talent and leadership development
initiatives are well executed.
Understands the healthcare marketplace and Sanford's strategic plans in order to effectively drive talent strategies that create business value and results.
Analyzes program effectiveness and recommends continuous improvement methods, ensuring they are innovative and providing tangible value to end-users. Regularly uses new technologies, theories, concepts and techniques to add to talent and leadership development strategy and resources. Creates and uses strong success metrics to monitor and evaluate impact and ROI of programs. Develops reports on program effectiveness and make recommendations for program enhancements and improvements.
Proactively engages in external research and knowledge sharing to stay current on talent and leadership development trends and best practices.
Analyzes people-related data, conducts assessments and owns metrics to identify talent gaps, understand drivers of employee experience, and support high performing talent.
Exhibits ability to work on collaborative and professional teams with proven ability to build strong relationships. Demonstrates exceptional presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging for diverse audiences and drive groups to consensus and outcomes. Displays a growth, learning mindset and is ready to promote new ideas and situations regularly. Acts as a hands-on project leader that can shift seamlessly between strategy and execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, business, healthcare administration or related discipline. Master’s preferred
Minimum of five years’ progressive strategic talent management experience within a large, matrixed organization. Expertise in leadership development, organization effectiveness, workforce planning, performance management, career development, employee engagement, leadership coaching or related field.
Training and facilitation experience.
Experience with technology solutions to drive talent, leadership and culture strategies and a track record of driving talent outcomes through technology innovation and automation.
Experience managing high-risk, high-cost full lifecycle projects.
Previous experience working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment.
Demonstrated experience in strategy development, strategic planning or similar field.
Demonstrated leadership presence and maturity, with a proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders and followership with all levels of the organization.
Experience contributing to high-impact HR function that drives successful business outcomes.
Proven track record in creating collaborative and influential partnerships with HR Strategic Partners and stakeholders to create alignment between business strategy, goals, behaviors, and culture to drive performance.
Experience in a growth organization where ambiguity, quick decision-making and change agility skills are an everyday occurrence.
Proficient experience in business productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint).
