Be part of a team that designs and tests electrical and process control systems, manages installation sub-contractors, reviews and updates electrical hardware standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Must have 5+ years experience in a process controls industry/technology or related field.
Experience designing electrical control panels, motor control panels and control systems.
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
Must be detail oriented and have proven analytical skills
Must possess good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be willing to travel (up to 25% of the time, some internationally).
Working knowledge of MS Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews customer specifications, meets with sub-contractors, prepares conceptual layouts and estimates for proposed process control systems

Develops estimating tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of hardware and installation estimates

Drafts text for quotations describing and promoting the process controls system

Designs electrical control panels, motor control panels and control systems by applying knowledge of electricity, materials and instrumentation/control equipment

Incorporates specifications and requirements into system design and specifies and requisitions equipment accordingly.

Coordinates and supervises design requirements with designers.

Prepares RFQ package for control panel and motor control panel fabrication and manages fabrication at third party panel fabricators.

Writes electrical installation specifications and prepares RFQ packages for installation at customer sites.

Coordinates, supervises and inspects the activity of electricians performing system wiring both in-house (skid systems) and at customer sites.

Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.

Provides electrical checkout of systems in-house and at customer sites.

Prepares documentation to be included in operating manual by identifying and describing equipment operating characteristics.

Maintains product and company reputation by utilizing established equipment, methods, and designs, complying with federal, state and local regulations.

Develop and maintain electrical hardware standards.

Ensure standards are in compliance with national and local laws and regulations.

Contributes to team effort by assisting others with their projects and completing non-project related tasks as assigned.

Has working knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and has the ability to use these software packages for checkout, testing and troubleshooting purposes.

Coordinate schedule and budget with the Team Lead - Process Automation and the Project Manager.
