Graco is seeking a thoughtful, innovative Information Architect to lead our worldwide Technical Publications teams. The Information Architect is responsible for the vision and execution of product documentation at Graco.

We are looking for someone with a passion for content and customer experience. Our product documentation supports end users and channel partners worldwide. As information architect, you will own the content creation, publishing, and governance processes followed by technical writers and illustrators across Graco.

Under your leadership, Graco will deliver industry-leading product content, minimize authoring effort and costs, and maximize content business value.

Essential Duties

Champion the transition to reusable, DITA-based structured content
Manage and refine Graco's DITA implementation, tools, and processes, including content models, templates, guidelines, and training materials
Lead training sessions on tools and best practices for DITA authoring and content management
Develop and maintain templates, taxonomies, style sheets, and metadata schemas
Collaborate with the legal, safety, engineering, and technical publications teams to create and update content guidelines and procedures
Research industry trends and best practices to drive process innovation
Troubleshoot, address, and escalate technical issues for internal stakeholders, including technical writers
Lead bi-monthly meetings with all divisional technical writers to discuss issues, initiatives, and updates
Collaborate with other Graco teams (including web, PIM, training, marketing, and CRM) to align strategic goals and customer experience benchmarks
Develop and execute the roadmap for future content needs
Manage relationships with external partners and software vendors

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Information Management, Content Management, or another relevant discipline; or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience with product documentation, information architecture, and/or content management
Demonstrated experience with DITA XML and a content management system (CCMS or CMS)
Experience working in a global organization with regional stakeholders
