Supervise unloading and washing of bulk potatoes received for packing plant and reloading of bulk potatoes.
Equipment Operation/Quality Control:
- to safely and efficiently handle tractors and trailers in the yard to ensure no harm to personnel or equipment
- to assure trailers are unloaded in the proper sequence to help maintain first in first out an inventory of bulk trailers
- to monitor fuel levels for refrigerated trailer needs
- to scale all product; both gross and tare
Monitor product flow
- for proper speed for unloading
- for proper B-size screen
- for the product going to proper bins
- to eliminate product damage due to improper equipment running
Keep track of lot numbers
- to know which trailer has
- B-size russets
- B-size reds
- B-size whites
- B-size goldens
- process
- to know when you will have a full load of process or B-size potatoes
Clean Up of Bulk Wash Shed Department
??? to insure area picked up/swept of debris and rocks
??? to follow Master Sanitation Schedule for the department
??? to ensure bulk trailers are adequately cleaned when empty
??? to ensure empty trailers are not left at docks unless needed for shipping
Miscellaneous:
??? to assist in the packing department, during slow periods, including unloading of watermelon trucks and rail cars
??? to get supplies from the warehouse as needed/requested by Assistant Production Manager or Production Manager
??? to back trailers into docks for shipping and receiving
??? to empty credit bins on a dump truck or for regrading
Work Schedule:
The work schedule will vary depending upon the season, availability of the product, and customer orders. Monday through Friday will normally start at 4:30 a.m., or 1 ?? hour before the packaging department starts grading bulk potatoes, to 11:30 a.m., and from 12:00 until finished for the day. Saturdays areas needed/scheduled.
