Ensures nursing department compliance with federal, state and local regulations and implementation of Villa nursing core programs. Ensures maintenance of records and reports concerning resident care. Ensures the orientation and training of nursing services personnel.Manages the Nursing Service department within budget. Follows all Villa policies and procedures and JACHO standards where applicable. Manages the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, and advise medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.In the absence of the Administrator, assumes responsibility for the entire facility. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Oversees the nursing staff at the facility Other Duties: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and the employee will perform other related duties as assigned. This organization reserves the right to revise the essential position functions as the need arises. 1. Participates in all-hands dining. 2. Performs other duties as directed by facility management. 3. Participates in marketing events as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
