Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking full time Infection Control and Prevention Specialists to support our clinical teams in the following locations:

  • Johanna Shores (Roseville, MN) 1.0 FTE
  • Presbyterian Home of Bloomington/Carondelet (St.Paul, MN) .8/.2 shared FTE = 1.0 FTE
  • Boutwells Landing (Oak Park Heights MN)/Deerfield (New Richmond WI) .8/.2 shared FTE = 1.0 FTE (Must have WI and MN licenses)
  • Lake Minnetonka/Castle Ridge (Eden Prairie) .5/.5 shared FTE = 1.0 FTE
  • Harmony River (Hutchinson) 1.0 FTE at site
  • Grace Point Crossing (Cambridge) 1.0 FTE at site
  • Maranatha Brooklyn Center/Folkestone Wayzata .8/.2 shared FTE = 1.0 FTE
  • W averly Gardens North Oaks/Norris square Cottage Grove .8/.2 shared FTE = 1.0 FTE

TCU locations:

  • Langton Shores (Roseville, MN)/Interlud of Plymouth and Interlude of Fridley .3/.3/.3 shared FTE = .9 FTE

This is an opportunity for Registered Nurses to monitor and advice on infection control measures established through organizational policy and procedures in coordination with the PHS Clinical teams and PHS Infection Preventionist.

Reporting Structure: The Infection Control and Prevention Specialist reports to the designated site Clinical Administrator.

The Infection Control and Prevention Specialist is responsible for directing the infection prevention and control program and education. The Infection Prevention Specialist uses clinical knowledge and specialized training to coordinate, deliver and maintain efficient and effective infection prevention and control programs and conducts infection control research and serves as a consultant to other departments to ensure compliance with evidence-based infection control standards. The Infection Prevention Specialist provides clinical education to employees with the goal of providing services excellence and decreasing the risk of infectious disease transmission.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state in which you practice.
  2. 2+ years of healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
  3. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control or ability to obtain immediately after hire.
  4. Knowledge in the field of infectious disease and epidemiology.
  5. Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for long-term care.
  6. Demonstrated ability to write and implement policies and procedures. Ability to apply experience with technology and IT based instruction.
  7. Must have or willing to obtain CPR certification.
  8. Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; adaptability, flexibility, and creativity. Ability to communicate with a variety of people.
  9. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
  10. Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
  11. Demonstrates competency in teaching and applying adult education.
