We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for our Green Bay, Wisconsin recycling plant.

This position requires high levels of confidence, competitive drive, independent action, initiative, and a sense of urgency in supporting their team members and the business processes. Also important is the ability to make quick decisions and take responsibility for them. A well-suited candidate can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them. The style is purposeful, directed at getting things done quickly. People and problems must be handled with confidence. There is a strong demand for high quality, organized, and repeatable results. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities and a directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

We offer:

• First-year total compensation of $60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with relative and applicable experience *negotiable*

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and sustain a safe plant environment and culture
• Manage all commodity receiving, processing, inventory, and shipping processes
• Identify opportunities to expand or shift course quickly to maximize changing markets
• Support and manage an effective preventative maintenance program for plant equipment
• Manage staff, including customer service, drivers, maintenance, sales, and plant staff
• Optimize operational productivity and efficiencies while maximizing gross margin
• Support Business Development and Administrative team in driving profitable plant performance
• Train staff as needed
• Observing operations daily with 80% of the time spent on the plant floor

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and previous P&L responsibility preferred
• 3-5 years in an operations management role preferred Warehouse/Manufacturing
• Experience with P&L responsibility preferred
• High energy level and desire to promote and ensure team success through leadership & work ethic
• High level of confidence in making business decisions including, policy
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to support maintenance functions
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills coupled with proven team development experience
