DevOps Engineer
Overview of Position
The DevOps engineer will partner with development teams and other team members to plan, deploy, and optimize applications and associated application infrastructure. They will be responsible for the administration of (cloud and on-premise) production systems and assist with problem resolution and application monitoring.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Design, implement and demonstrate production deployment pipelines in AWS for various monolithic and greenfield microservice applications. These pipelines must integrate with the CHC-AWS AMS environments.
- Design and develop enhancements to the existing Enterprise DevOps Platform and tooling.
- Provide associated guidance and mentorship to application developers and ops personnel.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- 3+ years deploying and managing applications in AWS using various services (eg EC2, S3, ALB, RDS, SQS)
- 3+ years' experience administering applications on Linux and Windows platforms
- Implementation and management of CI/CD infrastructure and experience with application monitoring and logging
- Working knowledge of one or more Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Go)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Experience in a highly regulated industry
- Experience with Amazon RDS Database Administration
