Job Summary

Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives related to emergency management. Assists in providing a safe environment for associates, customers, and other users of facilities through established policies, guidelines, protocols, training and exercises that promotes a safe environment and ensures compliance with all requirements of Emergency Management programs and laws. Supports facilities in multiple aspects of emergency and crisis management.

Department Details

This is a grant funded position working 20 hours a week. The position will support the Coalition and includes training, education, exercise development and evaluation and facilitate planning for members. Responsibilities include attending state and quarterly meetings providing assistance with planning and training, maintain members list, develop and analyze survey information, meeting minutes, virtual training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in emergency management or equivalent work experience and two years of experience working in a related position is preferred.
Should have a basic knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Joint Commission requirements, healthcare emergency management processes and Department of Health and Human Services Hospital Preparedness Program requirements. Also, knowledge of federal and state laws as well as local regulatory agencies is mandatory.
Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Certification in Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Professional Development and Incident Command Training to the 300 level is preferred.
