Job Summary
Provides technical support to the orthotic staff and fabricates, repairs and maintains orthoses. This includes assessment of orthotic technical requirements, formulation and implementation of fabrication, as well as follow-up and practice management. Proficient with current fabricating techniques, familiar with material properties and skilled in the use of appropriate equipment. Supports and conforms to professional responsibilities that promote and assure the overall welfare of the client. Attends training to gain knowledge and skills used in the Orthotic Technician role.
Department Details
The hours for this position are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Prosthetic-Orthotic Technician (CTPO) through the American Board for Certification (ABC) is required; if not at time of hire, must have certification within three years of hire. Possess a valid Class D driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
