Pricing Manager
The Pricing Manager will work in conjunction with the Carrier Sales Team, Sales Operations Manager, and VP of Customer Sales, to prioritize customers' capacity needs, pricing activities, RFP responses, and carrier sales analytics.

Responsibilities
  • Establish spot market pricing that allows for profitable margins for our client's company.
  • Work in conjunction with teammates to prioritize and service customer's capacity needs.
  • Grow revenue and load count on all modes with effective pricing and customer communication.
  • Monitor market conditions and provide updates to the team to ensure day to day understanding of market trends.
  • Recruit and contract qualified providers in all modes to the enhance our client's network based on customer's needs and lane detail.
  • Seek new revenue opportunities from bid board leads, RFP leads, carrier leads, and sales opportunities.
  • Effectively lead the pricing department, including additional employees, RFP activities, bid board activity, spot opportunity pricing.
  • Establish target pricing for all shipments.


Experience
  • B.A. in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, or Marketing preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year of 3PL pricing experience required.
  • 2 years of transportation experience required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of various freight market trends based on seasonality, geography and specialized carrier types.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong comprehension of various transportation methods and modes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Excellent customer service and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a high stress environment.
  • Strong ability to use organizational skills to plan tasks effectively and use forward thinking to predict future changes.
  • Ability to participate and build effective teams.
  • Ability to process, work flows, policies, and projects as assigned.
  • Ability to exude confidence and gain credibility with carriers.
  • Strong proficiency with computer applications and software.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others while being able to solve problems and provide effective solutions.
