Leads a team of planning professionals responsible for: sales/customer collaboration, demand planning, replenishment and managing inventories with an emphasis on ensuring service level goals are achieved. Guide and mentor team to achieve goals and objectives. Oversees the development, accuracy and routine maintenance of all related demand planning data. Collaborate with corporate planning team to ensure best utilization of available tools and processes. Serves as Supply Chain representative on key Customer/Sales issues. Works closely with Sales team, Customers, and Suppliers, as needed, to identify and resolve root cause of supply chain issues. Drives and influences timely decision making to support Senior Leadership. Holds self and team accountable for timely execution of operational goals and objectives

Participate in business planning and tracking team performance relative to goals. Develop proactive reporting tools that enable informed sourcing and purchasing decisions. Collaborate with Customers, Sales and/or Suppliers to improve service level and fill rates to VWR and our customers

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

Leads the Customer Facing Demand Team to develop both Strategic and Tactical demand forecast and replenishment plans supporting key product lines and/or customer segments.
Leads the Supply Chain interaction and process for key Sales/Customer collaborations.
Active mentoring, training and development, and performance management of direct reports
Determines optimal inventory strategy for each key SKU/stocking location.
Proactively adjusts forecast and replenishment strategies.
Applies appropriate mathematical and statistical tools to resolve complex business issues.
Manages stocking requests from inception through execution.
Analyzes trends in Key Performance Indicators; allocates department resources to drive continuous improvement.
Proactively addresses dead and excess inventory.
Assesses network constraint issues, makes recommendations to reduce or eliminate constraints to leadership team and key stakeholders.
Drives process standardization.
Closely manages all relevant supply chain cost to maximize working capital.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business, manufacturing or a related field desired.
MBA preferred.
Six Sigma, and/or Lean Certification desirable.
Minimum of ten (8) years of progressive job experience in demand and supply planning, logistics and procurement required in manufacturing, chemical, distribution, pharmaceutical or related industries.3 years leadership experience
