**Must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)** Exciting Direct-Hire opportunity for a Firmware/Electrical Engineer with a Client location in Hudson, WI who designs and manufactures over 500 security and communication products; such as Emergency Phones, Entry Systems, Paging Interfaces, Amplifiers, Mass Notification Systems, Hot Line Phones, Auto Dialers, Enclosures, and more. In addition to our extensive analog line, we also offer a large selection of IP based solutions. Overview: Electrical Engineer position to develop and maintain hardware and firmware for embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing hardware and firmware for new products as well as being able to maintain products that have already been released. The candidate should also have experience with digital circuit design. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain firmware for 8/16/32 bit microcontroller-based products (C code.)
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with firmware.
  • Write and maintain software in Visual Studio
  • Verify hardware works as designed
  • Document features, issues, and operation of firmware
  • Transfer knowledge to others within the company

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • C Program experience programming Microcontrollers (90-95% of role.)
  • Digital Circuit Design (5-10% of role.)
  • Visual Basic/.NET Framework
  • Digital circuit design
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and programming languages
