Currently we are looking to find an exceptional candidate to bring in their Manager Warehouse talents for this food production and manufacturing company. A skilled individual who plans, organizes, manages, and leads the shipping operations of the plant. Supervises, trains, and develops staff. Ensures essential duties are performed by staff. Liaison to leadership on shipping operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze shipping and warehouse issues and recommend solutions, such as improving shipping methods or implementing motivational plans.
  • Manage to department budget.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Guiding, directing, and motivating and including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Coaching, mentoring, or helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Confirm box line and shipping leadmen run their areas productively and efficiently.
  • Make sure employees are performing work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the quality of all areas.
  • Act as a liaison between plant management and fabrication or slaughter supervisors.
  • Ensure all team members are following plant safety, quality and attendance procedures.
  • Lead daily supervisor meetings.
  • Attempt to minimize downtime and maximize efficiencies.
  • Tour area frequently to ensure team members are performing their work properly and also to ensure employee morale.
  • Work on various special projects.
  • Prioritize route orders.
  • Ensures that the shipping area reaches its daily standard and make corrections as necessary.
  • May be involved in disciplinary procedures with team members. These may range from verbal warnings to terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in shipping operations.
  • Strong organizational interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening to be eligible for employment.
  • High Sch. Diploma or GED with College training preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a diverse workforce and upper management.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand, bend and lift up to 100 pounds
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping, as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work 10-14 hours a day in a cold or hot environment.
