SummaryThe Co-Teacher along with the Lead/4K Teacher will plan, design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children, serve as primary child care provider for children 3-5 years old enrolled in Reach Dane Head Start Sites, and provide supervision, performance feedback and scheduling for reporting staff. As this program will be a model/demonstration classroom, teaching staff will actively participate in training and mentoring new teachers as needed. The Co-Teacher will comply with all licensing and Head Start Program Performance Standards, follow families' cultural values and practices in caring for their children, exhibit respect for parents and reinforce their vital role as the primary educator of their children, and assure licensing requirements are met and that the environment is clean and safe. Act as a positive liaison between community agencies, providing services to children and guidance to families.Requirements Partner with teaching teams, accepting guidance to provide daily classroom activities utilizing Head Start Program Performance Standards Plan and implement appropriate activities for children ages 3-5 years old that foster their cognitive emotional and physical growth A minimum of three years teaching experience is preferredMinimum educational requirement of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
