MN Rheumatology need
Minneapolis metro area
Rheumatologist needed for a 3 - 4 month assignment
Reason for coverage: maternity leave beginning in November
Coverage needed: Nov 1, 2020 - Feb 26, 2021
Schedule: Clinic Hours: M - F ; 7:30a - 5p
Clinic hours are potentially flexible(i.e. later start time, later end time, etc) ; 32 - 36 hours per week ; Telecall after hours on weeknights and weekends - telecall will be rotated between locum and other perm Rheumatologists ; avg of maybe 1 call per week when on call, so very light in that regard ; No callbacks - just tele-consults
Patient Volume: Around 50 appointments a week/200 per month ; there are 750 patients on roster of perm MDs existing patients
Locum will be expected to see new consults and follow up w/ existing patients as well
Patient age: Adults
Support Staff for Provider: 1 other Rheumatologist MD + Rheumatology-trained clinical assistant dedicated to support their clinic
EMR: Epic ; Procedures: Joint injections required, other than that it's a very low procedure position ; Minimum Experience: 2 years is ideal but may consider less
Interview process: locum will interview w/ the lead Rheumatologist and if that goes well may be asked to interview w/ other Rheumatologists on the Team
Decision Makers: Clinical Manager and Rheumatologists
Credentialing Timeline: likely 90 days. Clinic Manager is looking into possibility of temp/emergency privs
Nights & Weekends. Very light. Average 1 call per week.
