Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist. Do you love solving problems that others can't fix? Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming questions and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Train computer users on basic usage of computer system.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Walk customer through problem-solving processes to root cause system issues.
- Install, modify, clean up, and repair computer hardware, software, workstations and servers.
- Run diagnostic programs and ask questions to determine nature of problem; resolve problems.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Install computer peripherals for users.
- Respond to questions from customers seeking help either via email, in person, or over the phone.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
- Using Company's systems management tool, monitor events, manage ticket system, and ensure client's environment is running optimally.
- Do network cabling installation work (pulling, terminating, troubleshooting, climbing ladders.)
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications preferred but not required.
- 1-year experience in similar role preferred but not required.
- Must be available for varying shifts depending on customers' needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team.
- Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver's license. Part of the responsibilities will be to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to travel when required. (10%-15% travel)
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Must have ability to lift 60 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
