The Senior Manufacturing Engineering position makes continuous improvements to manufacturing quality, cost and delivery for our customers in the Immunoassay Diagnostic market. This individual will be part of a highly engaged and capable manufacturing engineering team passionate about developing the outstanding instrument manufacturing systems.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Develop manufacturing process solutions that improve quality, delivery, and cost to customers by minimizing down time and rework due to quality and/or obsolescence issues.Solving technical issues by identifying root cause(s) and identifying both sort-term and long-term countermeasures.Providing Instrument system level troubleshooting support for production team to help maintain product flow and support timely delivery to customersDesigns and develops poka-yoke methods/fixtures within manufacturing process to improve quality and delivery.Builds action plans that are used to ensure accurate completion of projects.Crafts and updates Manufacturing work instructions and validating manufacturing processes and equipment.Initiates engineering change orders and documentation changes while meeting corporate quality systems standards. Ability to coordinate changes multi-functionally with planning, purchasing, supplier quality, development, regulatory, and manufacturing.Ensures company, industry and regulatory standards are met.Essential qualifications for this role are:Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience OR Master Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of related experience.Experience with design change processes (ECOs/DCOs).Experience leading technical projects and ability to communicate design intent, risks, risk mitigations and impact through dFMEAs/pFMEAs.Software knowledge: Outlook, Excel, CAD (2D or 3D), Word, Jump, MinitabBeckman Coulter offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to associates' and their families' lives.
