Power Systems Electrical Test Technician - Waukesha, WIA leading Power Distribution Testing and Validation company is seeking a Power Systems Electrical Test Technician in the Waukesha, WI area. Travel consists of day trips to customer sites throughout the area providing field service and support. Overnight travel not required. Clients include Utility companies, Electrical Contractors, Manufacturing organizations among others involved in the Power Distribution Industry.Primary Responsibilities:Participates in day-to-day test, troubleshooting, repair activities of electrical, electronic, mechanical and electromechanical equipment.Applies basic/advanced knowledge and skills in performing and executing engineering test procedures to satisfaction of all stakeholders involved.Execute testing procedures for major programs, as designed/written by clients.Testing of low and medium voltage switchboards and load centers.Communicate and collaborate with company technical community to ensure the quality of deliverables.Collect test, measurement and process data used in monitoring, qualifying and verifying product conformance.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associates in Electrical related discipline preferred or 3 years of experience in quality testing of automation, power distribution systems, or related equipment.Candidates must possess both general and technical reading, writing, verbal, math and analytical skills conducive to a technical/engineering environment.Customer-service oriented and have a desire to develop into leadership and training role.Experience working with electrical power distribution systems, power monitoring systems, AC/DC electrical power, switchgear assemblies/systems, and related components a plusMust be able to perform point-to-point ohms checks and understand Relay TechnologyMust be able to read and work from with technical drawings (assembly and schematic)Must have familiarity of basic and specialized test and measuring equipment (mechanical and electrical).Must have familiarity of basic and specialized hand tools and shop practices and have familiarity of basic electrical/electronic theory and testing / troubleshooting to the component levelBasic understanding of UL standards, such as UL 67 Panelboards, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 10008S Static Transfer Switches, UL 60950 Information Technology Equipment, UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear as applicable, as well as other pertinent standardsCompany Offers:Fantastic Medical (100% company paid for Employee) benefit planRetirement AccountPaid vacation and holidays**Why Kelly** **??** **?**Your engineering skills are in demand, but how do you find the right fit?
