Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer Tool and Die Designer

This full time, permanent, Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer/Tool and Die Designer opportunity is at a growing, manufacturing company. Demand for products is steady as customers include the government as well as a variety of industries. This 100 year old company utilizes a mix of current and older technology. The small engineering department offers a lot of variety and autonomy.

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:

• Designing and reviewing blueprints
• Costing out jobs for customers
• Working with side by side with Tool and Die Makers on the shop floor
• Working closely with the sales department
• Working with Solidworks and PLEX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

The background of the successful candidate will include the following:

• A degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related
• One or more years of manufacturing engineering process improvement experience
• One or more years in a manufacturing environment working with metal
• A customer service focus
• A passion for engineering

Preferred but not required experience may include any of the following:

• ERP experience is preferred but not required
• Tool and die experience is preferred but not required
• Metal stamping experience is preferred but not required
• Punch press experience is preferred but not required
