The Extended Warranty Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating and supporting current business operations and will assist with implementing new business opportunities in the extended warranty (EW), planned maintenance (PM) and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) space. This position will identify gaps, analyze requirements, recommend solutions and help optimize business processes to help recognize these opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Role & Responsibility

Current Business Support
  • Admin current CPO program.
  • Assist field staff & dealers with policy & procedure inquiries around EW, PM or CPO.
  • Assist with processing of some warranty claims against EW or CPO that reach a $ threshold.

Systems & Processes
  • Provide business and systems expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing specifications and procedures that meet user requirements.
  • Work with IT community to help implement needed systems or system changes to enable business growth.
  • Help maintain pricing and dealer pricing tools.
  • Help drive process efficiencies through development of new tools and processes.

Data Analytics - Evaluation
  • Perform data analytics with tools such as OAC & PowerBI on EW, PM, & CPO data to help identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Gather feedback from both internal & external stakeholders to help evaluate new business opportunities as well as improvements that can be made to enhance current performance.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting needs from both internal and external stakeholders and develop new reports based upon business needs.
  • Study competition and markets to help identify where Bobcat can gain a competitive edge with these programs.
  • Help with maintaining profitability indexes for all revenue generating operations.

Promotional Programs
  • Work closely with the sales & marketing program team to help manage any incentive programs that may be run for EW, PM or CPO to help drive results.

Training
  • Assist with training efforts with dealers and field staff to ensure a high level of competency regarding the EW, PM, & CPO program.

Marketing
  • Work closely with the AM/PS marketing manager to promote these programs to internal and external people to ensure knowledge and success.


Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics or related field. An Associates degree and 3-5+ years of related experience will be considered.
  • Experience Required: 2>5 years
  • Travel Required:
  • LSS Yellow Belt certification, Green Belt certification a plus.
  • Construction equipment industry knowledge.
  • Experience in project execution.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving skills and data analytics tools such as OAC and PowerBI
  • Effective verbal & written communication, training experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational prioritization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships across the company.
  • Strong analytical background.
  • Fluency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

This position will be focused on day to day operations and requires a high level of attention to detail while being able to maintain multiple tasks at any given time.

Problem solving skills will be highly utilized. This position will require a strong ability to communicate to both internal Bobcat staff as well as the entire dealer network to achieve goals.

This position will require a high level of responsiveness to address dealer and business needs as they arise.

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
