Facility: Sanford Business Center Building

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing, monitoring and presenting reports on area to show volumes, activity and structure. Required to monitor reports to show trends, address productivity issues, and address issues that result in highs and lows on call volumes, outstanding A/R issues, complaint logs and other collection and customer service related issues. Good working knowledge of collection laws as well as requirements of collection agencies mandated under the FDCPA standards. Self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. Functions as a resource for employees and clients. Maintain competency and skill in areas supervising. Expected to assist with interviewing, hiring, orienting, counseling, disciplining and if necessary termination of employees. Expected to complete performance reviews annually and when necessary and comply with all regulatory agency requirements. Able to delegate assigned task to employees based on skill level and experience.
Expected to lead with a positive and supporting attitude as well as leading by example. Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external customers - customers being defined as but not limited to: Physicians, staff, management, administration of clinic and hospital leadership, public and external agencies. As a positive leader, individual will participate in planning, organizing, delegating, establishing of mission, goals and advancement of the organization as well as the Patient Financial Services office. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment showing excellent decision making and problem solving skills. Communication skills are a core pre-requisite to this position.
Competent in areas supervising. Have effective communication skills to articulate employee and patient concerns.Understand and demonstrate leadership capability, handle conflict and negotiation. Able to collaborate with system entities, able to delegate work assignments; create a vision for the department. Be self directed, self motivated and be able to work in chaos and change.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Three years of Customer Service/Collections of comparable experience preferred.
