The Supply Chain Design Manager, Regional NA Lead is the subject matter expert in the supply chain network optimization space with extensive and deep knowledge to independently lead and advise complex projects across a global, regional, or multi-country teams.
This includes: Holistic end-to-end supply chain assessment considering internal and external perspectives, comprehensive mapping, clear breakdown of results into decision-making processes such as network design and optimization, project leadership, continuous improvement, process development, inventory strategy and segmentation, customer & client interaction/business partnership, systems/data management and reporting & analysis.
Principal Accountabilities
60% NETWORK DESIGN & OPTIMIZATION
Works closely with Cargill businesses to understand business questions, develop scope, and identify the right modeling approach. Advise modelers to designs, builds and delivers supply chain network models. Ensures appropriate and correct data is provided for effective optimization work. Uses advanced knowledge to evaluate the network design and optimization work, determine and outline impacts to the business.
Proactively conducts the report out of the outcome and recommendations of network design and optimization work back to the business in collaboration with the BOSC Strategic Supply Chain Design & Analytics Lead.
Serves as the network optimization technical leads, providing direction on more complex modeling scenarios to SCDO modelers and analysts
Develops the implementation plan for approved network design and optimization projects with business leads.
Independently analyzes and creates metrics and track the success of implemented projects.
10% SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY
Reviews and monitors SCDO practices and procedures.
In partnership with SCDO analysts, Identifies and develops standardized best practices for SCDO processes and modeling.
Develops Cargill Supply Chain Design & Optimization playbook.
Ensures consistent best practices is shared between SCDO teams across the organization through trainings, workshops, and documentations.
Support the development of Cargill's SCDO roadmap
10% CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Develops, executes and implements more complex projects and process improvements in the supply chain organization to drive continuous improvement to current excellence standards across the organization.
Develops a strong understanding of customer needs through building and maintaining internal and external relationships to provide optimal service to Cargill's customers and help the business meet strategic and financial goals.
Build relationships with internal customers from various Cargill businesses and external parties such as consultants.
Provides extensive supply chain knowledge and subject matter expertise to integrate multiple areas in Cargill supply chain such as customer service, supply chain planning, strategic sourcing/procurement, plant operations, and transportation & logistics (ie order, plan, source, make and deliver).
10% SYSTEMS/DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
Develops, executes, and implements ongoing supply chain network optimization and process improvements to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain organization.
Develops, manages, and tracks project plans. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
10% PEOPLE, TALENT & BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Regularly provides coaching to supply chain modelers and analysts, including coaching Cargill core values. May be solicited for performance evaluation of colleagues.
Develops customized network optimization training programs and deliver training to supply chain analysts and managers.
Participates in selection of employees and provide input on plans for future workforce needs.
Develops direct reports' objectives and conducts 1:1 sessions to discuss their personal development and career plans

Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications
4 year degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Finance or related function
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain or related function with at least 5 years in Network Optimization
Broad end to end understanding of supply chain principles with deep expertise in network design and optimization
Experience in leading and managing projects; ability to take ownership of the program deliverables, timeline, and budget; ensuring that individual project objectives are achieved on-time with a high degree of quality
Experience in managing multiple projects/tasks with varying complexities
Functional understanding of LLamasoft tools or other network optimization tools such as LogicNet Plus and JDA Strategist
Ability to drive change, to work with people, and to influence decision making across various Cargill businesses and all levels of the organization
Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity and prioritize competing priorities
Strong collaboration and influencing skills and excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to explain complex concepts to non-practitioners across all level of the organizations
Strong analytical and problem solving ability
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Masters level degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, and Supply Chain Management
Previous supply chain consulting experience
Strong database skills and ability to handle large amount of data
Data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
