Position: Systems Engineer II

Duration : 6 month Contract to hire

Location: Waconia, MN

Requirements:

• Minimum Education/Work Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience in a systems administrator or systems engineer role
• Demonstration of suitability through combination of experience, and education in the Information Technology and/or equivalent years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve a diverse range of complex problems
• Technical Skills: Should be able to demonstrate excellent technical and computer skills and knowledgeable in modern technology and services.
• Demonstrated advanced Customer Service skills
• Team Collaboration: Should be able to successfully work independently and within a multi-team environment
• Problem-solving Skills: Should be able to devise technical and creative solutions for Users issues, will assist others with same
• Time Management: Should be able to set priorities when handling multiple issues
• Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities
• Knowledge of PC hardware
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of VMware, CITRIX technologies and Virtual Desk Infrastructure VDI
• Ability to construct scripts in common languages (PowerShell, etc.)
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
• Preferred License/Certifications
• Microsoft MCSA
• Microsoft MCSE
• At least one of these advanced certifications:
• Red Hat RHCSA (Certified Administrator)
• Citrix Certified Associate or Professional - Virtualization (CCA-V or CCP-V)
• VMware Virtual Certified Associate or Professional (VCA or VCP)
• Cisco CCNA or CCNE (or similar level certification in other disciplines)
• A+
• Network+
• Security+
• Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent 5 years of experience
• 8+ years of experience with IT solutions; PC, server, and infrastructure technologies (e.g., HP, Konica, Cisco, etc.)
• 8+ years of experience working with hardware and software systems
• 8+ years demonstrated successful Customer Service experience
• 4+ year of experience with vendor management and vendor relationships
• 4+ years of experience with Inventory/resource management
• Prior experience with healthcare information systems
• Advanced knowledge of device and network security principles and tools including antivirus and anti-malware solutions
