Job Responsibilities
  • This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.
  • Assesses resident need and formulates a treatment plan to meet needs identified.
  • Administers and performs therapeutic interventions with residents. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and adjusts accordingly. Safeguards residents' property.
  • Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information.
  • Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans. Keeps residents' living areas pleasant and orderly. Documents services provided.
  • Provides training on programs, adaptive equipment and positioning. Responds appropriately to residents' requests for help and maintains positive relationships with residents' friends and family members.
  • Receives and shares information; provides direct consultation with physician and/or interdisciplinary team members. Demonstrates/encourages quality care for the whole individual.
  • Accepts accountability for activities under direct control; plans and organizes work with and for department. Exercises sound judgment and decision-making; promotes cooperative working relationships within and between departments.
  • Recruits, hires, and staffs work area at appropriate levels.
  • Assists and participates in the QA/CQI process ensuring quality performance, conformance with regulations, standards and laws, and customer satisfaction.
  • Keeps abreast of and implements new programs or practices. Formulates and works within annual budget.
  • Shifts would be Tues and Wednesdays 630p-7a and Every other weekend Friday/Saturday 630p-7a.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. (RN).
  • Prior work experience in an orthopedic / rehabilitation / geriatrics setting preferred. Completion of state-approved rehabilitation course or a minimum of 80 hours of specific training by a licensed therapist (to include all therapies provided in the center/campus) is preferred; licensure for the state of practice.
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities.
  • Basic rehab and restorative nursing functions / skills.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing skills.
