Company Generac Power Systems Name Team Lead - Welder III - 2nd Shift Req # 54933 Location Jefferson CORP Employment Type Full Time Shift 2ndThe Team Leader I position is a key member of a defined manufacturing operational team in a manner that promotes continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery to our customer. The Team Leader I works to achieve daily results, create a safe work environment, ensures product and material flow, confers with management, quality assurance, engineering, drives new product launches, creates a visible workplace, and is process driven to standard work. The Team Leader I assists with daily employee needs.The Welder III is expected to perform Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform Mig welding, electric or robotic welding equipment in the fabrication of parts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a high quality finished product. Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School diploma or equivalent experience * 2 years of experience in a production welding environment and successful completion of internal weld test PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.) * Demonstrated experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work * Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics) Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products.
