Hey Watertown, let's get physical! Edgewood Watertown's three Assisted Living and Memory Care communities are looking for a part-time PRN Physical Therapist to help our residents get physical, wherever they call home!  

The perfect candidate will serve as an integral part of the CaringEdge team, the health services division of Edgewood Healthcare. We're looking for someone as equally dedicated to the delivery of effective, evidenced-based clinical practice with a focus on geriatric care. Our teams are passionate about helping area seniors maintain and improve their physical abilities, while fostering independence and confidence throughout their golden years.

CaringEdge's therapy teams enjoy flexible hours, control over their own schedule (including no weekends or holidays) and extremely manageable caseloads. This position would be located within the Edgewood community, as well as Watertown and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a written plan of care specific to each patient and implements therapy services based on that plan of care. 
  • Initiates physical therapy program and instructs other personnel in certain phases of physical therapy with which they may work with a patient, as well as instructing them as to the goals of the physical therapy program for the patient by participating in case conferences. 
  • Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals. 
  • Participates in peer consultation process. 
  • Supervises physical therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.
  • Potential to function as the therapy director, based on experience, if applicable.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possesses a Masters or Doctorate in physical therapy approved by an accredited organization. 
  • Licensed to practice as physical therapist within the state. 
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. 
  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Compassionate with good communication skills 
  • Excellent teamwork skills
