Our team is looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team in Bloomington, MN.

The Product Development Engineer is a key member of the Liquid Packaging R&D team driving the development of new products, processes, materials and technology in support of our NOWPak and FluoroPure liquid packaging systems used to store, transport and dispense high purity chemicals and photoresist used in semiconductor manufacturing.

The ideal individual will bring 7+ years of product development experience, 3+ years of blow molding and/or rotomolding design or processing knowledge along with a team first attitude and a passion for asking questions, sharing ideas and exploring new boundaries.

In this role you will
In this role you will be responsible for the design and development of high purity containers and vessels used globally to store, transport and dispense critical fluids used in the manufacturing of semiconductors, photovoltaics and pharmaceuticals. A successful candidate will need to excel in the following areas:

Create multiple concepts to be used in the development of new platform or breakthrough products.
Aids in the investigation of the ergonomic and aesthetic challenges and possibilities of concepts to optimize and enhance the product design.
Defines and implements solutions for derivative products.
Transfers those concepts into accurate models, assemblies and drawings.
Supports creation of functional prototypes for design verification and works cross functionally to perform validation and qualification testing.
Participates in analyzing design concepts regarding reliability, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and optimal ergonomics.
Performs mathematical computations, creates computer models and assemblies for the purpose of computer analysis and engineering simulation, and other analytical activities as required.
Assists in appropriate testing of prototype parts and products; analyzes, interprets and communicates findings as appropriate.
Makes recommendations for new procedures.
Communicates within function as well as across functions and levels regarding drawing interpretation, specifications and compliance with actual parts.
Communicates with outside vendors and gathers information as necessary during the design process.
Translate customer wants into executable technical specifications.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
7+ years of product development engineering experience;
BS, MS in Mechanical (ME) or a related field;
Experienced with the design, tooling and processing of roto-molded and/or blow molded products;
Experience with Solidworks modeling, assembly, and drafting modules and their use to design plastic components;
Design for Manufacturability;
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing;
Rapid prototyping methods and requirements;
Capability to design, build and test fixtures used to aid testing and manufacturing;
Excellent written & verbal communication skills along with efficient project management skills
Ability to work effectively & respectfully in a team-based & multi-national global engineering environment;
Knowledge of high purity products and processes as it relates to semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
