Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • This is still TBD, but we're going to be doing user research, UX design, and final visual design for web properties and digital tools.

Ideal Background:

  • Folks with digital or advertising agency experience is a plus. Do not require healthcare, but anything in a very complicated space (healthcare/finance) would be a plus.

Experience:

  • Examples of prior work in: Responsive Design, both Visual Design & UX Design, Journey Maps, Task Flow Analysis, End-User Interviews, Personas, Project Planning - the more complicated the better, and any set of work samples that show variety of skill and experience.
  • Can't just have 10 of the same thing.
  • Candidate also needs to be a go-getter, type-A personality, able to receive and provide feedback dispassionately.

Top Requirements:

  • Will not consider any candidate that does not have a web portfolio with digital work samples.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling user interface designs for web, mobile, and desktop software product
  • Contribute to the development of user interface design patterns and other leading - edge tools and reusable assets that aid in efficient and effective user experience designs
  • Collaborate closely with cross - functional product development teams on UI prototype design and development
  • Conduct remote and in - person user research as needed, including summative usability testing, formative usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, and interviews
  • Sets priorities and ensure task completion on multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate work activities with other
  • Direct cross-functional and / or industry wide teams as appropriate
  • Provide UX expertise and mentoring to team and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with web applications
  • Demonstrated experience delivering quality user interface design, including wireframes and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience delivering user research

Skills/attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience as a designer and usability practitioner

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? Minimum 1 round, maybe 2
    b. Video vs. phone? Video plus screen sharing of their portfolio of work
    c. How technical will the interviews be? Will get very technical with UX and Accessibility, but not at all web code technical. Candidate will field a variety of technical questions, then present their portfolio of work while I ask questions.
