Schoeneck Containers in New Berlin, WI is looking for a Warehouse Associate (Forklift) - Days for a 7:00 am - 7:00 pm opportunity.Responsibilities:Accurate loading of customer shipments following loading WP's and customer requests without damaging productLoad, unload, move, stack, and stage the finished goodsKnowledge and adherence to our raw material receiving and internal transfer proceduresComplete pre-shift forklift inspection/maintenance and use material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamps) to maneuver pallets throughout the warehouseStrictly adhere to the Food Grade requirements, including trailer inspections and 100% wrapped and sealed palletsUtilize space to maximize warehouse storage capacity while operating safelyWork safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environmentCommunicate process improvements related to warehouse productivity or safety to warehouse leadershipAssist the Inventory Associate when required (see Inventory Associate LSW) Cross Training ProgramPerform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by warehouse leadershipUse RF scanners to disposition finished goods into inventory and track to location-controlled staging areasVerify labels on all finished goods to move units to staging areaWork with the team to ensure packaging standards are being met before removing product off the production floorFollow all safety procedures to keep a clean area in our active, fast-paced, team environmentCommunicate openly with leadership and teammates in a positive mannerPerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned and contribute to improvementsQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent reading, writing, basic math, and critical thinking skills.1 year of warehouse loading & unloading required1 year of forklift experience preferred but willing to train (sit-down clamp truck is a plus)Ability to use RF equipment for real time inventory movement and accuracyExhibit excellent decision-making skillsAbility to work independently with little supervisionDemonstrated capability in basic math and measurement.Ability to follow guidelines independently and work as part of a cohesive production teamFamiliarity with warehouse software systems, basic business computer applications and mobile device applicationsMust be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift or carry parts, material and product of up to 30 pounds.Must be able to grasp, pinch, reach, finger, pick, or otherwise work with fingers, hands and arms for regular tasks.Must laugh at jokes and enjoy attempts at humor from other members, no matter how feeble.Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection and operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F.Must climb steps, maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling, have good hand/eye coordination, stoop, and bend. Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects as real.Minimal local travel required.
