Specifically, the Operations Manager responsibilities are:Responsibilities under the direction of the Terminal Manager:Loading of customer orders at the warehouse in a timely fashionAccuracy and completeness of all paperwork related to customer ordersCompliance with all OSHA, DOT and other governmental agencies' rules and regulations by all terminal personnel and operatorsA safe work environment for all personnel working at the terminalSafety performance of all terminal personnelCompliance with all company policies and proceduresCompliance with all customers' requirementsOptimization of operation to reduce cost (overtime) and maximize productivityManagement reports, various, daily, weekly and monthlyOn time delivery of all customers' ordersUpkeep and maintenance of all company equipment such as trailers, transfer hoses, forklifts, etc. Resolution of all customer issuesHands on individual requiredImplementation of the company's disciplinary policiesMust be willing to obtain experience with inbound/outbound P and Linehaul QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE2 years of management experience, people skills, computer knowledge, self-motivated, and ability to achieve assigned goals with minimal supervisionMust have LTL experienceHigh School Diploma Required, College degree preferredQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSPre-employment drug and physical testEnglish language including the meaning and spelling of words and proper grammar.Speak clearly and communicate with others and convey information effectivelyInterpret a variety of instructions; written, oral, diagram, or schedule formMust be forklift certified per OSHA regulationsPerform operation and safety check including battery, breaks, lift controls, fluids, and fire extinguisher prior to using equipmentSign off on daily equipment check list certifying everything is in good operating conditionProper handling of hazardous materials as it pertains to bills of lading, freight bills, placarding, employee training and accidentsWORK ETHICDependability, reliability, and maturity to handle equipment in a safe and sensible mannerSupport mission and core values of the companyBenefitsStable and growing organizationFull time Salary varies based on experience.Clean, late model equipmentComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life, Long and Short-Term Disability CoveragePaid Time OffPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may work from 10 hours to 14 hours a day as needed.WORKING CONDITIONS The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job the employee will regularly be exposed to outside weather conditions. This also means the employee is regularly required to drive in all sorts of weather. The employee is required to drive tractors with and without air conditioning. The employee is required to travel in busy and congested roads and highways.
